DJ spoiltkid has slammed FG decision to give 360 members of the House of Representatives brand new SUV valued at 160 million Naira each.
According to a report, all 360 members of the House of Representatives are set to receive brand new 2023 LandCruiser SUVs valued at N160 million each. This is a total of N57.6 billion.
The report also alleges that the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives have budgeted billions of naira for convoys in three Nigerian cities each.
This news has been met with outrage by many Nigerians, who are struggling to make ends meet in the face of rising inflation and economic hardship. Many people are questioning the need for such expensive vehicles for lawmakers, especially when there are so many other pressing needs in the country.
The House of Representatives has not yet commented on the report.

I think it is outrageous that the members of the House of Representatives will receive such expensive vehicles. This is a waste of taxpayer money, especially at a time when the country is facing so many economic challenges.
The lawmakers should be more mindful of the needs of the people they represent and spend their money more wisely. There are many other things that could be done with N57.6 billion, such as improving healthcare, education, or infrastructure.
I urge the members of the House of Representatives to reconsider their decision and purchase more modest vehicles. They should also think about how they can better use their money to help the people they represent.
