Apple has worked out a new feature where you can use Face ID to unlock your gadget even when you are wearing a face mask.

- Update your iOS to latest version. This should be iOS 15.4 or later.
- Go to the iPhone Settings and tap Face ID & Passcode.
- Scroll down and turn on Face ID with a Mask.
- When prompted, tap Use Face ID with a Mask.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to set up Face ID using the same face scan process.
You can also unlock your iPhone with your Apple Watch while wearing a mask.
If you wear a face mask too high or too close to your eyes, your iPhone may fail to unlock with Face ID. This feature requires your eyes to be unblocked.
