Jessie Cave always thinks she was treated differently on how acting has affected her body image. She made this notion following her weight gain before filming Deathly Hallows.
Jessie Cave who turned 34-year-old was cast as Lavender Brown in the sixth Harry Potter film when she was just 20. Jessie disclosed in an interview with Guardian published this week saying she “was not a right fit for the industry at that time.”
Jessie noted that her weight gain between the sixth and final films was simply a result of growing up — but when she returned, she was treated “like a different species.”
“It was horrible,” she recalled. “It was probably more me and my insecurity, knowing that I wasn’t fitting into the same size jeans, but it wasn’t a time where actresses were any bigger than a size eight.”

“I definitely felt invisible when I gained a little bit of weight,” Jessie went on. “And since then, it’s made me have weird issues with weight and work.”
“It’s so fucked up, but it’s just how it is,” she added. “Women have to deal with that all the time.”
