When was the second season of Bridgerton announced?
Bridgerton is an American streaming television period drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. It is based on Julia Quinn’s novels set in the competitive world of Regency era London’s ton during the season, when debutantes are presented at court. It is Rhimes’s first scripted Netflix series.
Netflix confirmed Bridgerton season two on January 21 via a dispatch from Lady Whistledown. “The Ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honour to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season,” read the Society Paper.
Top review about the movie Bridgerton
Romance, drama, comedy, and scandal….this show has it all. I enjoyed the show more than the book, which is a first for me. I love the added characters and diversity. The music was great as well.

‘Love conquers all’ is emphasized, and I love it!
*spoiler alert*
1. Lady Danbury speaks with the Duke about the King and Queen
2. Penelope put her reputation on the line to save Colin from a sham of a marriage
3.Colin told Marina he would have married her if she’d told him of her situation because that is how much in love he thought himself to be
4. Marina found closure in knowing Sir George loved her
5. Lady Bridgerton’s and her late husband’s loving marriage was what all her kids (well, most of them) yearned for, and they (Lady Brigderton and her late husband) chose to love each other daily
6. Daphne told Simon that she loved all of him, even his imperfections, and he can choose to love her too. This allowed him to give himself to her completely, and he let go of what was holding him back.
All the love stories didn’t end so great, though- e.i. Anthony and Siena, Colin and Marina, Penelope and Colin, and even the King and Queen. Having love break the barriers of class would be a joy to see as well.
I enjoyed the first 4 episodes (the courting, flirting, and falling in love) more than the last 4- but every episode kept me wanting more.
I love the connection between Simon and Daphne- it seems so real…breathtaking. My favorite part is their initial dance- how everything came together- their ruse, how they walked in, and how they looked at each other the entire time they danced. OH MY, THE WAY HE LOOKS HER…
I love, love, love this show! Hopefully, there will be a season 2 and many more to follow.
